Анотация: Dynamics of the factors of the external and internal environment leads to transformation in the processes and the organization of the economy and the functioning of the enterprises. This requires updating of the principles, methods, and forms of business management by applying adequate governance and technologies to stabilize processes in a global economy. Clusters are an important factor in boosting the competitiveness of European economies. The national and regional economic policies in Europe are increasingly focusing on the benefits of the cluster approach. The present study aims to analyze the cluster potential of the Stara Zagora region and to establish the development stages of the discovered clusters. Sectors with potential for development and potential to grow into clusters have been identified. Recommendations have been made that would improve the cluster environment in the agrarian sector and increase the competitiveness of the area.
